Governor Dr. Syed Ahmed, who is also the Chancellor of all the State Universities, had a meeting with the Vice Chancellors and other officials of the Universities of Jharkhand to review the working. Major decisions taken and the Governor gave several important directions, the major ones being : All universities must form an audit committee within two months; the academic calendar should be prepared and posted on the website; better coordination with the staff and filling up of vacant posts be undertaken early. The Governor also expressed his unhappiness over the absentism of the teaching and other staff of the Universities.
