Former Ranchi University Vice-Chancellor Dr Anand Bhushan has been appointed chairman of Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Friday. Bhushan will replace Laksmi Singh, who retired on Friday.
An academician, Bhushan had retired as principal of the Ranchi University and remained acting Vice-Chancellor of RU in 2006. He was also V-C of RU from June 26, 2001 to June 25, 2004. Bhushan has served as member of academic council of Jharkhand Central University.
