SBI chairman Pratip Chaudhuri has said the bank is committed to all-round development of the State, adding that it would render its responsibilities effectively even if it had not opened its local regional office in the State.
Chaudhari was addressing mediapersons on the first day of his three-day visit to Jharkhand.
The SBI chairman said bank interest rates would remain higher till inflation stayed up. Chaudhuri added that the bank was planning to open 36 new branches in Jharkhand in the near future.
