SAIL To Invest 500 Cr. On R & D

Steel Authority of India (SAIL) will be spending a massive five hundred crores on research and development programmes to give the best quality steel to all sectors. Speaking at the inaugural function of a 3-day international conference on Thermomechanical Simulation & Processing in Ranchi, the Director (Technical) S. S. Mohanty gave this information. He said that steel developed by SAIL is widely used in the tanks and other heavy equipments of the Indian Army and the Navy. He further informed that the target to reach a production of 200 million tones of steel has been kept for 2020.
