Ranchi : Distressed with the recent incident of a child's death in Gumla due to shortage of medicines and lack of ambulances across the State, Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Wednesday ordered to make available all essential medicines in Government hospitals and buy new mortuary vans and ambulances across the State.
The CM on Wednesday chaired a high-level review meeting of health department and asked officials to ensure zero tolerance in maintaining health services in the State. On the orders of the CM Rs 11.94 crore have been sent to Government hospitals across the State so that medicines could be made available at all places.
Das ordered that in any situation the hospital management has to arrange sending bodies back home. He said that the Civil Surgeons of the district would be made accountable for the same and they have to ensure the task with all strictness. He asked the health department officials to buy new mortuary vans in all districts within two months and serve the people with the human spirit.
