12.1
Tourism has been given the status of an industry. The State Government
intends to give boost to tourism sector by attracting higher investment
in the areas with tourist potential and to generate employment
opportunities through combined efforts of governmental agencies and the
private sector. Priority shall be accorded to develop eco-tourism,
religious tourism, heritage- tourism, adventure tourism, amusement
parks, resorts and way side amenities.
12.2
Air taxi services would be promoted to provide package tours especially
keeping in mind the Buddhist circuit and international tourist flow.
