Jamshedpur: Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS), Jamshedpur, is celebrating a proud sporting achievement as its Class IX student, Ranbeer Singh, has been selected to represent Jharkhand in the Under-16 cricket team of the Jharkhand State Cricket Association (JSCA). He will represent the state in the prestigious Vijay Merchant Trophy, a national-level age-group cricket tournament organised under the aegis of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Ranbeer’s selection marks a significant milestone in his budding cricket career. He is reportedly the only player from the CBSE and ICSE schools across Jamshedpur to achieve this distinction, making his accomplishment particularly special for the school and the city’s school cricket community.

The Vijay Merchant Trophy provides a competitive platform for talented Under-16 cricketers from across the country to showcase their abilities and represent their respective states. Ranbeer’s selection reflects his dedication, perseverance, and commitment to the sport, while also highlighting KSMS’s continued focus on nurturing sporting talent alongside academic excellence.

The achievement is a moment of immense pride for the entire KSMS family, particularly its Sports Department, which has been instrumental in encouraging and developing young sporting talent. The department comprises Deepak Jagan, Shahbaz Khan, Nihal Singh, Anjani Kumari, and Nisha Kumari, who continue to guide and support students in their sporting pursuits.

Congratulating Ranbeer on this remarkable accomplishment, Academic Director Mrs. Nandini Shukla, Principal Mrs. Rina Banerjee, Vice Principal Mr. A. L. Abraham, Headmistress Mrs. Sujata Singh, and Registrar Mrs. Vrinda Suresh extended their heartfelt congratulations and blessings to him ahead of the prestigious tournament. They encouraged him to give his best, uphold the values of sportsmanship, and bring glory to Kerala Samajam Model School and Jharkhand.

The school leadership also acknowledged that this success is the result of the collective hard work, dedication, and encouragement of the entire KSMS family, including the school management, teachers, coaches, and support staff.
