Jamshedpur, August 15, 2026: Tata Steel Zoological Park (TSZP), Jamshedpur, celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm, patriotic spirit, and a renewed commitment towards nation-building, wildlife conservation, and environmental stewardship.

The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Dr. Naim Akhtar, Director, Tata Steel Zoological Park, in the presence of zoo employees, officers, and staff members. The gathering proudly sang the National Anthem and paid homage to the countless freedom fighters whose sacrifices secured India's independence.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Naim Akhtar extended his heartfelt greetings to all employees and their families on the occasion of the nation's 80th Independence Day. He emphasized that while Independence Day is a celebration of freedom, unity, and progress, it is also an occasion to reflect upon our responsibilities towards nation-building.

In his address, Dr. Akhtar highlighted the significant role played by every employee of the zoo. Recalling the sacrifices of India's freedom fighters, Dr. Akhtar urged all employees to reaffirm their commitment to excellence, discipline, compassion, and service to society.
