Jamshedpur Teachers Gear Up for New Entrepreneurship Curriculum
In a significant step towards strengthening entrepreneurship education in schools, a Knowledge Sharing Session on the newly introduced Entrepreneurship subject was organised at Kerala Samajam Model School (KSMS), Jamshedpur, on 18th July 2026.
The session brought together 24 teachers from various schools across the city, providing them with valuable insights into the curriculum and its effective classroom implementation.
The session was conducted by Ms. Sarbjeet Kaur, Senior Teacher and Career Counselor at KSMS, who served as the resource person. She familiarised the participants with the objectives of the Entrepreneurship curriculum and shared innovative pedagogical approaches, experiential learning strategies, project-based teaching, business plan development, financial literacy, and assessment techniques. Through interactive discussions, hands-on activities, and practical examples, she demonstrated ways to nurture creativity, innovation, critical thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial skills among students.
The programme was graced by Principal Ms. Rina Banerjee, Vice Principal Mr. Abraham, and Headmistress Ms. Sujata Singh. In her address, Principal Ms. Rina Banerjee highlighted that entrepreneurial skills are among the most essential competencies of the 21st century and that the introduction of Entrepreneurship by CISCE is both timely and relevant. She acknowledged that there may be initial challenges in implementing the new curriculum and urged teachers to remain connected through continuous collaboration, sharing of best practices, and mutual support. She emphasised that such collaborative learning would ultimately benefit the students of Jamshedpur by ensuring effective and meaningful classroom implementation.
The participants actively engaged in discussions, exchanged ideas and best practices, and expressed confidence in implementing the new curriculum in their respective schools. The session concluded with a vote of thanks, reaffirming the collective commitment to fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among young learners and equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and confidence required to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
