S.E.N.S.E. Programme Inspires Young Minds at School


Jamshedpur, 21st July2026: Kerala Samajam Model School successfully hosted the S.E.N.S.E. (Social Etiquette for New Generation) awareness programme for the students of Classes III and IV in the school auditorium . The programme aimed to inculcate good manners, responsible behaviour, and civic values among young learners.
The session was conducted under Project MASOOM, an initiative of Young Indians (Yi) in association with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The programme focused on simple yet essential values such as maintaining cleanliness, conserving water, standing patiently.
The event was graced by Dr. Rachana Nair, Director (Academics), Kerala Public Schools, Jamshedpur, who also chairs Project MASOOM. A passionate educationist, Dr. Nair believes that every child is a winner and emphasized the importance of nurturing values alongside academic excellence. She encouraged students to practise good manners consistently and become responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.
Through interactive discussions, engaging activities, and real-life examples, the students enthusiastically participated in the session and pledged to adopt the values they had learned in their daily lives.
The program was held under the able guidance of Director Academics Ms. Nandini Shukla,The Principal Rina Bannerjee, Vice - Principal A.L.Abraham ,Headmistress Mrs. Sujata Singh.The event was coordinated by Tr. Deepa Nair and Rashmi Jain from Young Indians and Tr. Gargy and Tr. Baishali , the moderator of Health and Hygiene Club of the school.
