Indian Classical Music is not just sound; it is a timeless tradition that nurtures the soul and reflects the rich cultural heritage of our nation. To celebrate the enduring beauty of Indian Classical Music, Loyola School organised an enchanting musical programme, under the guidance of our Principal Rev.Father Vinod Fernandes SJ , at the Fasy Auditorium on Friday, 24th July 2026. The stage came alive with a harmonious blend of captivating instrumental performances and soulful vocals. More than 25 budding musicians from Std 6 to 12 took the audience on a musical journey through the rich traditions of Indian Classical Music, demonstrating that this treasured art form continues to flourish in the hands of the younger generation. The programme commenced with a soulful violin recital that set a serene and reflective tone. This was followed by classical vocal presentations based on ragas, thoughtfully accompanied by lead and bass guitars, creating a unique blend of classical tradition and contemporary expression. A rhythmic and brilliantly executed tabla solo captivated the audience with its precision and artistry. The programme concluded with a series of melodious ensemble performances that filled the auditorium with melody and harmony. At the end of the programme, our Vice Principal, Mrs. Jayanthi Sheshadri, congratulated the young performers for their dedication and passion in preserving India's rich musical heritage. The event was a memorable celebration of talent, discipline, and tradition, leaving the audience inspired and proud of the school's exceptional musicians. She also congratulated and thanked the teachers Mrs. Roma Prakash , Mrs. Sonia Raisurana and Sir Ashish Kuntia for organising such a wonderful musical presentation .
