एनआईटी जमशेदपुर की शोधार्थी प्रीति कुंडू को डॉ. जयश्री कुलकर्णी पुरस्कार
जमशेदपुर: राष्ट्रीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान (एनआईटी) जमशेदपुर की पीएच.डी. शोधार्थी **प्रीति कुंडू** को उनके शोध कार्य के लिए प्रतिष्ठित **"डॉ. जयश्री कुलकर्णी अवार्ड फॉर आउटस्टैंडिंग पेपर इन द डिज़ाइन एंड एप्लीकेशन ऑफ वेयरेबल एंटेना"** से सम्मानित किया गया है। यह सम्मान उन्हें हैदराबाद में आयोजित **5वें IEEE वायरलेस, एंटेना एंड माइक्रोवेव सिम्पोजियम (WAMS 2026)** में प्रदान किया गया।
प्रीति कुंडू ने यह पुरस्कार अपने शोध पत्र **"An Ultra-Compact Flexible Wideband Antenna for Wearable Body Area Network Applications"** (पेपर आईडी #793) के लिए प्राप्त किया। पुरस्कार के अंतर्गत उन्हें **10,000 रुपये की नकद राशि, स्मृति चिह्न (प्लाक) तथा प्रशस्ति पत्र** प्रदान किया गया।
प्रीति कुंडू, **डॉ. सुरजीत कुंडू** के निर्देशन में एनआईटी जमशेदपुर में शोध कार्य कर रही हैं। उनका शोध क्षेत्र **वाइडबैंड वेयरेबल एवं बायोमेडिकल एंटेना** है, जिसका उपयोग स्वास्थ्य निगरानी एवं अगली पीढ़ी की वायरलेस संचार प्रणालियों में किया जाता है। वह वर्तमान में **मैरीलैंड इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ टेक्नोलॉजी एंड मैनेजमेंट, गलूडीह** में सहायक प्राध्यापक एवं विभागाध्यक्ष के रूप में भी कार्यरत हैं।

NIT Jamshedpur Research Scholar Receives Dr. Jayshri Kulkarni Award
**Jamshedpur:** Ms. **Preeti Kundu**, Ph.D. Research Scholar in the **Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, NIT Jamshedpur**, under the supervision of **Dr. Surajit Kundu**, has been honored with the prestigious **“Dr. Jayshri Kulkarni Award for Outstanding Paper in the Design and Application of Wearable Antennas”** at the **5th IEEE Wireless, Antenna and Microwave Symposium (WAMS 2026)** held from **10th June to 13th June 2026 at BVRIT Narsapur, Hyderabad, Telangana**.
The award was conferred for her research paper titled **“An Ultra-Compact Flexible Wideband Antenna for Wearable Body Area Network Applications”** (Paper ID #793). As part of the recognition, she received a **cash prize of ₹10,000, a plaque, and a certificate of excellence** during the symposium's awards ceremony.
Ms. Kundu's research focuses on **wideband wearable and biomedical antennas** for healthcare monitoring and next-generation wireless communication systems. She is also serving as **Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Maryland Institute of Technology and Management, Galudih**.
