Kerala Samajam Model School Organises Two-Day Suggestion Mela
Kerala Samajam Model School organised a two-day **Suggestion Mela on 21st and 22nd August 2026**, bringing together students, parents, alumni, teachers and support staff on a common platform to share creative, constructive and progressive ideas for the holistic development of the school.
The initiative aimed to foster a culture of **participation, collaboration and collective ownership**, recognising that meaningful improvement is possible when the voices of all stakeholders are heard.
The first day saw enthusiastic participation from students of Classes VI to XII at the Suggestion Mela held in the Computer Lab. Their enthusiasm and eagerness to share ideas reflected their strong sense of belonging and their desire to contribute to the school’s growth.
The second day witnessed an encouraging response from parents, alumni and teachers. Parents particularly appreciated the initiative, describing it as a highly commendable effort to strengthen dialogue and partnership between the school and its stakeholders.
Suggestions were received across a wide range of areas, including **academics, discipline, co-curricular activities, sports, infrastructure and other school-related activities**. The ideas reflected the aspirations of the school community for an institution that is responsive, progressive and future-ready.
Speaking on the occasion, **Principal Mrs Rina Banerjee** emphasised that while every suggestion may not be immediately implementable, every idea deserves to be heard, examined and evaluated for its feasibility and potential impact. The objective is to identify meaningful suggestions that can translate into positive and sustainable changes in the school.
The event was conducted under the guidance of **Principal Mrs Rina Banerjee, Vice Principal Mr A. L. Abraham, Headmistress Mrs Sujata Singh and Registrar Mrs Vrinda Suresh**.
The Suggestion Mela was coordinated by **Rajan Singh, Parvind Singh, Abodh Singh, Sheela Kumari, Shilpi Sandwar, Geeta Swami and Rani Singh**.
