Annual Prize Nite 2026 Loyola School, Bistupur, successfully conducted its 67th Annual Prize Nite on 27th June 2026, celebrating the remarkable achievements of its students in academics, sports, co-curricular activities and character development. The evening was a fitting tribute to the dedication, perseverance and excellence demonstrated by the students throughout the academic year. The programme commenced with the traditional Academic Procession, followed by a solemn prayer song that set the tone for the evening. The gathering was warmly welcomed by the Master of Ceremonies Ms Sapna Jacob after which Fr. Michael Thanaraj, SJ, Rector of Loyola School, delivered the Welcome Address, inspiring students to pursue excellence with integrity and purpose. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Mr. Atul Kumar Bhatnagar, Managing Director of Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (TSUISL), while Rev. Dr. S. M. John Kennedy, SJ, Coordinator for School Education, South Asian Jesuit Conference, graced the event as the Guest of Honour. A distinguished academician, environmentalist and educationist, he was warmly welcomed with a sapling, symbolising growth, hope and sustainability. A special highlight of the evening was the felicitation of Ms. Shehnaaz Kaizin Malegamwala, who was honoured for completing 25 years of dedicated service to Loyola School. Recognised for her invaluable contributions as a librarian and mentor, she was presented with a shawl, plaque, citation and bouquet in appreciation of her unwavering commitment to the institution. The ceremony celebrated the outstanding performance of the school’s ICSE and ISC Board Examination toppers, who brought laurels to the institution with exceptional results, including numerous perfect scores across various subjects. The prestigious title of the Loyola Topper at the ICSE level goes to VEDANG VATSAL. The Loyola Topper in Arts at the ISC level is LAKSHITA CHAUDHARY with an overall score of 97.25%. The Loyola Topper in Commerce at the ISC level is PAARYAH SINGHAL achieving an overall score of 97.75%. The Loyola Topper in Science at the ISC level is NISHTHA DEO with an overall score of 99%. The Loyola Topper in all the three streams at the ISC level is NISHTHA DEO. The programme continued with the distribution of Proficiency Awards to students of Classes VI to IX, recognising academic excellence within their respective classes. Endeavour Awards acknowledged students who had shown consistent improvement through determination and perseverance, while Achievement Awards honoured those who overcame personal challenges with courage and resilience. Students of Class XI were felicitated as Subject Toppers, recognising their outstanding performance across different streams and disciplines. The evening also witnessed the presentation of several prestigious Special Awards and Scholarships, instituted by alumni, benefactors and well-wishers of the school, celebrating excellence in academics, leadership, service and character. Sports excellence formed another significant part of the celebration. Outstanding performers in athletics, basketball, football, volleyball, handball, taekwondo, swimming and other disciplines were honoured for their achievements at the zonal, regional, national and state levels. The coveted Late S. P. Dubey Award for Sports Excellence was also presented to a deserving student for exceptional sporting accomplishments. The cultural segment of the programme featured vibrant dance performances and melodious musical presentations by the school choir, adding colour and celebration to the prestigious event. In his inspiring address, Chief Guest Mr. Atul Kumar Bhatnagar encouraged students to embrace discipline, perseverance and lifelong learning, reminding them that true success lies in continuous growth and responsible leadership. The programme concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the Principal, Fr. Vinod Fernandes, who expressed gratitude to the distinguished guests, parents, staff, students and all those who contributed to the successful organisation of the event. The 67th Annual Prize Nite stood as a celebration not merely of achievements but of the values of hard work, resilience, service and holistic development that continue to define the Loyola tradition.
