Loyola School, Bistupur, successfully hosted the CISCE Zonal Basketball Tournament 2026 from 24th to 27th June 2026 for the Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 categories. The four-day tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from 29 schools, with 79 teams and 792 student athletes, making it a vibrant celebration of sporting excellence, teamwork, discipline and healthy competition. The tournament featured exciting and closely contested matches across all categories, with students displaying remarkable skill, determination and sportsmanship. In the Under-14 Boys category, Hill Top School emerged as champions, while KPS Kadma secured the runners-up position and Gulmohur High School finished third. The Under-14 Girls title was claimed by Loyola School, Jamshedpur, followed by KPS Mango as runners-up and KPS Kadma in third place. Loyola School dominated the Under-17 category by clinching both the Boys’ and Girls’ titles. In the Under-17 Boys event, KPS Kadma finished as runners-up, while Loyola School, Telco secured third place. In the Under-17 Girls category, KPS Kadma claimed the runners-up position and Carmel School finished third. The Under-19 Boys championship was won by KPS Kadma, with Carmel Junior College finishing as runners-up and Loyola School, Jamshedpur securing third place. In the Under-19 Girls category, Loyola School, Jamshedpur once again showcased its excellence by winning the championship, while Sacred Heart Convent School finished as runners-up and Hill Top School secured third place. The tournament concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony, where the winning teams were felicitated with medals and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performances. The championship served as an excellent platform for young athletes to exhibit their talent, strengthen the spirit of teamwork and foster camaraderie among participating schools.
